This June, seven members of the McQuaid Jesuit crew team will row 340 miles on the Erie Canal to raise money for the Holy Childhood Special Touch Bakery. The Row for Hope starts in Buffalo and ends seven days later when the boys row through their 34th lock and into the Hudson River, just north of Albany.
In this sixth year of Row for Hope, the 2017 campaign is being dedicated to Holy Childhood’s Special Touch Bakery. Established in 1946, Holy Childhood is a non-profit, non-denominational organization which helps prepare children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities for maximum independence and integration in the community. The Special Touch Bakery is one of the many extensions of this incredible agency. The boys have set the goal at $30,000.
A group of local musicians are lending their talents to help raise money to help the boys! The list of performers includes The Greenes, Sam Nitsch, and Mr. Universe.
