Ithaca-based singer-songwriter Rich DePaolo returns to Rochester with his trio to mark the release of his long-awaited second solo album, “Killed for Kings.â€Â DePaolo is a dynamic vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, record engineer and producer who has recorded and toured extensively as a member of numerous regional acts, including avant-rock quintet Red Letter, The Burns Sisters Band, Marc Berger & Ride, Rockwood Ferry (Tenzin Chopak), Burns & Kristy Band, and Douglas September.
DePaolo’s music can best be described as deeply poetic, melodic, cathartic and bold, exploring the shadowy recesses of life, love and triumph against heavy odds. His debut solo album, “For the Loss of Divinity,†garnered Best Male Singer honors in The Ithaca Journal, in which he was also lauded as “the Ithaca music scene’s most valuable player.â€Â In a review of one of three records Rich produced for award-winning songwriter Patti Witten, Paste Magazine said, “The songs are brought to life by the brilliant guitar and production work of Rich DePaolo.”
DePaolo will be joined on stage by drummer Bill King, bassist John Young, and special guest, Rochester’s own electric guitar wizard, Josh Pincus (Dan Eaton Band, etc.).
