The Nazareth Rock Ensemble opens the show at 9pm.
The Raw Magillys take the stage at 10pm!
Rock, Cajun, Americana, Alt. Country, Guitars, Accordions, Banjoes, Bass, Percussion, Piano, Harmonies galore, powerful, raucous, wild but smooth….put it all together and you’re just beginning to describe the Raw Magillys. The heart of the 4 piece band is the Magilly sisters, Heidi on lead vocals, acoustic guitar, accordions and piano and Hildi on lead guitar, banjo, and vocals. The rhythm section consists of CBS/Enigma recording artist Roy Stein on drums and vocals and the band’s newest member Alex Goettel on bass and vocals.
Check out what the press has said about the Raw Magillys:
“Their live shows are as hot as railroad track pennies, fueled by Hildi’s instrumental raunch and Heidi’s confrontational friendliness and all-over-the-place vocals.” City Newspaper
“The Raw Magillys, I like this eclectic bunch, their sound, their style, their creativeness and musical savvy and their down-right uniqueness.” Freetime magazine
“Heidi sings in a style somewhere between Janis Joplin and Joe Strummer: no song, no matter deftly backwoods it is, can sound laid back with her in it. And when she takes a break, her sister Hildi grabs you with her fiery guitar work.” City Newspaper
“To keep it simple, The Raw Magillys are a banjo, accordion and psychedelic guitar rock quartet that gives chocolate-chip cookies to the audience, buys people beers if they show up with a daisy, occasionally wears overalls and yanks innocents onstage to sing back-ground vocals or forces them to dance. Clearly the Raw Magillys are becoming one of the premier live club bands.” Gannett Newspapers
